The Mark Todd Childs Body Protector conforms to the requirements of BETA 2009, Body Protector Standard Class 3 and EN 13158 Level 3.
The Mark Todd Childs Body Protector is designed with a modern, safe and comfortable approach to the rider’s
well-being. The Mark Todd Body Protectors first priority is of course safety, but the design is heavily focussed to not compromise on comfort. It offers protection from impacts resulting from a fall or being thrown off a horse. This protection covers every rider from a child on their first pony to the top class competitor. The foam inner provides excellent shock absorption, high dimensional stability and high compression deflection. Hook and loop closures around the waist and over the shoulders ensure that the body protector can be adjusted to suit the rider’s shape and size, and the waist band also features a red safety marker to ensure that the rider is using the correct size body protector. If the hook and loop closure does not fully cover the red marker, it is suggested you try an alternative size. Ventilation is also a key factor in the design of this body protector: the foam inner is perforated with 10mm holes and the mesh lining helps air circulate.Maintenance of the body protector is necessary, and it may be washed in warm soapy water and must be dried flat. Dust and fluff need to be regularly removed from the hook and loop closures. 65% polyester / 35% cotton outer and 100% polyester lining.
