We at Discount Equestrian, like so many, have monitored the Corona Virus situation closely since it first emerged. The situation has constantly evolved so over time we have introduced nessesary measures at our retail store, office and warehouse locations to protect our staff and customers.
We will keep this page up to date with the latest changes at Discount Equestrian and how they will effect our service.
The majority of orders to our online customers have not been affected however, we are sometimes seeing unexpected delays with both deliveries to ourselves and on occasions deliveries to our customers from the couriers we use such as Royal Mail, DPD and UPS.
European and Worldwide Shipments
Following the decision by the French government to close the border with the UK our deliveries to continental Europe and the Republic of Ireland will be hit with delays as of 20th December. At this stage we do not know how long these services will be affected for, but we will provide regular updates as the situation changes.
Elwick Retail Store
Our aim is to retain a safe distance between staff and customers as required by the government.
Should you prefer not to shop in store, we recommend, if possible, to instead place your orders on our website and utilise the "Collect in store" delivery option at the checkout. As soon as your order is ready to collect we will contact you via email, text or phonecall. Our members of staff will bring your order to your vehicle so you can load it.
We request that customers continue to use the hand sanitizer provided when you enter the store and wear face masks in line with goverment guidance.
Feed and Bedding
This is now available to order on our website https://www.discount-equestrian.co.uk/horse/feed-bedding.html where you can select the Collect in Store delivery option at the checkout and we will contact you as soon as your order is ready. Saturday: 9am to 5pm (Store only)
We are sorry if these measures cause you distruption. We are doing our very best to remain open as much as possible whilst keeping our staff safe. Should you be unable to attend at the times shown please contact us as we may be able to offer alternative opening times or delivery of your feed depending on location and staff availability. We sincerely hope all our customers stay safe and well during this time and resume our usual operating hours in the near future.
