Equilibrium Massage Mitt Hotspot Heat Pad

Let your horse relax with comforting heat and massage

    ● Choose from heat and two types of massage.
    ● Three different massage strengths allows you to tailor the massage.
    ● Reach any muscle with the lightweight, portable design.
    ● Quick and effective ten-minute programmes.
    ● Battery operated with international charger.

Why not try the Hotspot on yourself too?

With the choice of heat and two types of massage, the Hotspot can be used in various ways

    ● Use cyclical massage when you are holding the Hotspot still to target a specific area or trigger point.
    ● Use continuous massage when moving the Hotspot in a sweeping action over larger areas, allowing it to deliver the same message to the muscles.
    ● Use heat to help increase circulation. Normally used for sensitive horses or on muscles prior to stretching.
    ● Use both heat and massage together for the ultimate combination. This is best used in one area or over a small area.

    Choosing your massage setting

To choose your desired setting press the cyclical or continuous massage button once to select the lowest intensity. Pushing the same button again will up the intensity to the medium level and finally, pushing it for a third time will turn it to the highest setting. Pushing the same button for the fourth time will turn the Hotspot off. For the heat option, simply push the relevant button once for on, and again for off.

Use LOW for a relaxing massage best suited for use after exercise, on a day off, for a
sensitive horse or when using the Hotspot for the first time.

Use MEDIUM for general maintenance and everyday use, best suited prior to exercise.

Use HIGH for those horses who like a more intense massage, if your horse has a thick coat or is slightly overweight.

    Battery Life:

The battery can take up to 12 hours for a full charge, and once charged will power at least 10 x 10-minute sessions with heat and massage on the high setting.

Heat does draw more from the battery than massage will. When the battery gets to the stage where it no longer has enough power to run the heat function, the lights on the control panel will flash and turn off. You will still be able to run the massage functions for a while after this happens however, to use heat again please fully recharge your battery.

    Safety Considerations:

Do not use on the following (for humans and horses):

    ● Active bleeding, bruising or haematoma.
    ● Bony areas such as the wither, point of shoulder or hip.
    ● Open wounds, new injuries, or new swelling (for the first 48 hours).
    ● Where there is suspected infection or malignant tumours.
    ● Burn injuries or deep vein thrombosis.
    ● Over the abdomen if pregnant.
    ● Circulatory problems, causing hypo or hypersensitivity to heat.

I am loving the Hotspot massage mitt

I am loving the Hotspot massage mitt. I’ve been using it on myself and my son and we love it. My own horse suffers with very tight hamstrings, so I have been using this to help warm her up before exercise. I find she is a lot more supple if I have used the hotspot.

I love the Hotspot. I have had some super, super results with it. It’s really straightforward to use and the heat element is just right, also only had to charge the battery once so far – it’s lasting well.
I’ve used it on several horses, as well as myself and my husband. I would certainly recommend it.

    handy size with easy-to-use buttons
    Rating
My first impressions of the Hotspot are that it is a very handy size with easy-to-use buttons – a great addition to my tool box. I like the elastic strap as it still fits if you are wearing gloves. My young mare is not keen on her girth being done up in this colder weather but if I place the hotspot on her girth area she is then happier with her girth. I am really liking the heat option to encourage the body to relax in this colder weather and I’m sure when it warms up it will also be great to help with issues down the shoulders and on the neck where the massage pad cannot not reach. I have also used it for myself to warm up in the van in between clients!

I would recommend the hotspot to my clients as it would be a great option for in-between treatments and to catch those little niggles before they become a bigger issue.

I am really impressed with the Hotspot

It is light, easy to use and the battery lasts well. I like that my hand doesn’t get hot when using it.
I have used it on a lot of horses and they have all responded to it very well. The heat function is my favourite for the lumbar area and I have found that it really helps to soften this area before I commence physio treatment. For the neck and shoulders, I have been using the combined heat and massage which again has been really helpful to help loosen the area before I do any manual work. I also like how small and quiet the mitt is as horses have even accepted the use of it around their poll and tight groins. For me it is now a definite asset to my treatment process.
I have used it on myself especially when driving in between clients for my lower back and I love it!
The added heat would make this product my preference over a hot water bottle for safety reasons and ease of use.
I will definitely be recommending this product to my clients and other physios.

I like how easy the hotspot is for horse owners to use

I like how easy the hotspot is for horse owners to use and the horses certainly seem to be enjoying it. I think this will be a useful tool for clients to use in between sessions. I also work with humans and I think the heat element will be really useful for patients to use on their backs.

The hotspot has been a really useful addition to my physio treatments
    Rating
it’s saving my hands and arms as I haven’t needed to do so much pre massage to warm before going deeper. This has been particularly helpful on very cold days! It is also useful for treating small areas pre trigger point therapy. It’s a handy piece of kit and is easy to use and lightweight. I would recommend the hotspot to clients whose horses consistently have specific areas of tension that are reoccurring due to work type or conformation as they can be directed as to how and where to use it effectively.

I have been really impressed with the Hotspot. It is easy to use and keep clean, and it heats up really fast. I have been using it on my own back as well on horses and find it to be very effective. I would definitely recommend this to clients.
