The Aqueos® story began in 2011, when the company was founded by Tracy Richards. Based and manufactured in Pewsey Vale in Gloucestershire, Aqueos® are proud to be a British brand.

At Aqueos® HQ, there are members of the team who are vital to product development who are not human. Such team members include horses, dogs, chickens, ducks, a goose and alpacas. Scooby Doo is Aqueos’ chief canine tester, whilst mud-loving, grey horse Rosie – who has sensitive skin – is Aqueos’ vital equine tester.

As stated in the science section of their website (https://www.aqueos.co.uk/the-science), Aqueos® uses a highly chelating agent and complex blending technology to combine a number of powerful biocides that are not normally expected to work well together. These biocides work synergistically together, each one enhancing the effect of the other. Due to this mixing technology, biocides in Aqueos® products can be used in extremely low concentrates, which makes them harmless to all life forms other than micro-organisms. The MSDS gives Aqueos® products the same hazard rating as distilled water in ready to use form! The base of these products also ensures a long-lasting effect, because on application such products disrupt the surface tension of the treated surface, which makes it difficult for new micro-organisms to attach themselves to the surface – weakening the organisms. A positive result of this process is that these micro-organisms never have the opportunity to develop resistance to Aqueos® products.

Aqueos® products are effective to EN test standards EN1267(Bacterial), EN1660(Fungicidal), and EN14476(Virucidal).

Also, Aqueos® disinfectant products are effective against Coronavirus as verified by the EN14476 testing.
