Few companies can boast the stellar reputation enjoyed by world-renowned German brand Sprenger®, who has been thriving for over 150 years. Using carefully selected raw materials, Sprenger® continue to pour their heart and soul into every product through their dedication to excellence in design, along with the meticulous lengths they go to, to hand-craft many of their best-selling products. The team here at Discount Equestrian is pleased to present this fabulous collection of Sprenger Dressage Bits! Just a few of the fantastic dressage bits to be discovered in this range include the:
* Bemelmans Weymouth – “The optimum fit of the Bemelmans Weymouth keeps the horse on the bit. It has a smooth, rounded port and the shape of the mouthpiece is adapted to the sensitive palatal arch. The thickness is tapered towards the center. The acceptance of this bit results in soft and even distribution of pressure across the entire tongue, due to the exceptional form of the mouthpiece. The horse‘s impulse to put the tongue over the bit is nearly neutralised. A Weymouth that meets with highest requirements, resulting in relaxed and contented horses. Less rein action is needed as the bit’s action is more direct due to the short cheeks – sensitive rider hands are therefore very important!”
* KK Ultra Bradoon – “Compared to conventional bits, the double-jointed KK ULTRAs have a middle link (also known as the bean) that is shortened and angled forward by 45° - it is only at this angle that the middle link lies gently on the tongue, resulting in even and constant contact to allow clear instructions through the reins. The innovative KK ULTRA bits take advantage of the exceptional sensitivity of the horse‘s tongue, which multiplies the perceptions from signals given by the bit. When the reins are pulled, the middle part of the KK ULTRA fully rests on the tongue without squeezing and the connection rings roll on the tongue. The tongue‘s sense of touch is utilised, and clear instructions can be given. KK ULTRA bits provide an incomparable, precise contact between rider and horse. It is normal to see a huge improvement immediately upon switching to a KK ULTRA bit. The anatomically adapted mouthpiece is very comfortable for the horse, as the rider can give softer instructions so the horse‘s suppleness is supported harmoniously. This bit is available in two materials - Sensogan and Aurigan.”
* Dynamic RS Bradoon, Eggbutt Style – “The single-jointed version of the successful double-jointed Dynamic RS bits. The ergonomically formed mouthpiece allows a rapid and balanced effect on the tongue. Compared to conventional singl- jointed bits, the Dynamic RS mouthpieces give even pressure on the entire tongue area. Dynamic RS bits present a better contact between horse and rider. Brilliant for horses who are overactive in the mouth, playing too much with the lozenge and therefore unresponsive to the signals of double-jointed bits. The eggbutt version of this bit encourages acceptance of the bit and rider‘s contact, in addition to the advantages mentioned above. The mouthpiece remains in a central position to direct gentle pressure perfectly on the tongue.”
