Equestrian Show Shirts
Style, elegance, and a brilliant overall turnout are key to turning the judge's head! Whether riding a dressage test, eventing, show jumping or showing, equestrian show shirts are an essential element of your riding wear. Worn under your show jacket, a good show shirt (or showing hirt) should be well-fitted, made from breathable fabric, and tailored for styling with either a stock, a tie, or alternatively without in show jumping competitions.
Show shirts come in two main styles. We often call show shirts with a fold down collar a showing shirt and show shirts without a collar (grandad style collar) a competition shirt or stock shirt. A stock shirt is usually used in dressage along with a stock, or alternatively used on their own without a stock in show jumping competitions. To see our range of competition shirts (grandad collar style) take a look here. If you are also looking for the perfect selection of riding stocks or show ties to match your new showing shirt or stock shirt check out our Stocks and Ties category here.
It's a long-standing tradition that White is the most popular colour of choice for hunting stock shirts and show shirts, but you will also see lighter coloured shirts in cream, beige and yellows’ as well as darker black, blue, and navy show shirt colour options. Your discipline's traditions and rule book if competing will clarify the appropriate colours you can use.
Freedom of movement and functional fabrics are sought-after characteristics of show shirts. As a rider in any discipline, you need thermoregulation and comfort while in the saddle.
Horse show shirts can feature many technical fabric advantages. Manufacturers often add materials such as lycra into the material for added stretch in the shoulders and arms.
Breathability, UV protection from the sun, and odour-control fabrics are all features to help make horseback riding more fun and comfortable. Often, mesh side panels aid with ventilation, but some shirt designs include elegant lace detailing which looks great but also helps keep you cool. After your ride, machine-washing your regular show shirt and skipping the ironing is so easy.
You won't always wear your show jacket, so you'll want to stand out with some accents and highlights on your horse riding show shirt. Embroidered detailing, contrasting cuffs and collars, hidden press buttons, sparkly diamante buttons, lace panels and added ruffles give you many ways to express your style. As usual, show jumping rules provide you with the most freedom to go all out with show shirts with diamante or crystal detailing and a much wider range of colours.

Equestrian Show, Dressage & Stock Shirts
For disciplines like dressage, which is steeped in tradition, look for a white show shirt to pair with a traditionally coloured dark dressage show jacket. Dressage show shirts may be short or long sleeve and most have a stock type collar that makes securing your riding stock a breeze. Here are some of the popular show shirts we have supplied over the past year:
