AirMesh shoulder protectors are constructed of impact-absorbing foam and are designed to attach to the AirMesh body protector. These lightweight shoulder protectors sit on the ball of the shoulder and move with the body. They are covered in breathable mesh and feature an integrated PVC medical card holder.”

For ultimate safety in the saddle, Airowear® have configurated a market-leading AyrPS system, “The AyrPS unites a detachable, inflatable AirShell gilet tested to Satra M38:Issue 3 February 2015 airvest standard with the lightweight BETA 2018 Level 3 AirMesh body protector. Together they offer the most highly ventilated, double layer protection in Airowear’s line. Both layers have breathable mesh covering for optimization of airflow. With a wide range of gender-specific sizes, the AyrPS fits comfortably and moves with the rider’s body. A lanyard and saddle strap are included with the AyrPS.”

New Airowear Shadow Back Protectors

The Airowear Shadow back protectors were introduced by Airowear to provide an option to those riders who want some protection without the bulk or restriction in movement riders sometimes associate with typical body protectors.  Some riders simply do not like to wear body protectors, whether that be for proactical reasons, or sometimes just asthetics.  The Shadow back protectors are designed to sit under your show jacket which provides some protection against impacts from a fall, allows full freedom of movement whether jumping or dressage riding and will not spoil your outfit!

The Shadow protectors are certified to motorcycle back protector standard EN1621-2-2014 and come with a machine washable cover.

Remember, the Shadow protectors only protects the back and does not offer protection to ribs or against severe torsion, flexion, or extension or crushing of the body, so they are not suitable for Cross Country.
