Contrary to their title, the excellent products in our Hay and Straw Forks ranges here at Discount Equestrian are suitable for working with large bales of haylage and straw too.

If you’re hoping to shift finer materials, such as loose hay, a four or five prong straw fork would be most suitable – whereas the movement of large sections of baled material, such as hay or straw, would be easier to handle with a two-prong fork.

Speaking of handles, there are a few great options to choose from in our Straw Forks range, including exceptionally strong yet lightweight wooden handles or super-tough steel handles with a grip section added to the end for comfort and ease of handling.

Top brands such as Fynalite and Red Gorilla have even introduced shanks made of carbon fibre, which provide the ultimate in weight saving and are also very strong.
