Horse Splint Products
We can take every possible precaution to protect our horses’ legs from splints, though they can still end up suffering from them anyway. As with all veterinary treatment, we strongly advise contacting your vet for advice before attempting to treat your horse’s splints yourself.
We only stock the best quality products for our Splint Management range here at Discount Equestrian. Here’s an explanation about how one of our best-selling Splint Management products works: “Splintex® Gold is a recommended treatment for splints with a 20-year history of success. Splintex® helps reduce the size of new and old splints and is formulated for hardened splints, curbs, spavins, thoroughpins, and windgalls. While using Splintex®, box rest and bandaging aren’t required as this product can be used during training activities. Splintex® will not irritate or blister. However, this product contains camphor, which is a banned FEI substance, so we advise that you do not use this product if your horse is competing under FEI rules.”
