A little of Kroop’s® history as displayed on their website, “A boot maker named Israel Kroop was asked by a customer named James McCoy (aka Goggles McCoy) to develop a goggle for him to use in horse racing. Being a highly creative craftsman, Kroop designed a cutting edge goggle that was slim, light and offered outstanding peripheral vision. More importantly the design allowed the goggles to be stacked so that one by one they could be removed as mud accumulated during a race. This simple but effective design element changed the sport of horse racing forever. * Racing Goggles

“The original jockey goggles used for horse racing worldwide since we invented [racing goggles] in the 1940's. Made with our proprietary high clarity, scratch resistant lens, stitched edging and brass hardware. Tinted (Grey) lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Please note, these goggles are not designed to protect against flying objects such as rocks and paint balls.”

* Triple-Slot™

“The Triple-Slot™ jockey goggles were designed for optimal fit with wider style European racing helmets. The bands are attached in a forward perpendicular location, allowing the goggles to seal properly against the face even when used over wide helmets. Similar to our other jockey goggles, these are made with our proprietary high clarity lens that is both flexible and durable. Tinted (Grey) lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. Please note, these goggles are not designed to protect against flying objects such as rocks and paintballs.”

* 13-Five

“The 13-Five is perhaps our most comfortable [style of] goggles yet. The low profile lens format is a perfect fit over the brows but under the helmet.  It's made with a multi-layer foam that's soft enough to wear for long hours. The spherical lens gives you a great distortion-free view with totally unobstructed peripheral vision. The headband is made with a silicone bead to hold tight after adjustment. All 13-Five lenses are 100% UV blocking and impact resistant. These goggles come with their own microfiber carrying case that can be used to clean the lens.”

* I.K. 91

“The I.K. 91 are ultra-lightweight (34 grams) and very comfortable goggles. It's designed to protect against wind, dust, dirt, mud, and more. The tinted spherical lenses give you a great distortion-free view with totally unobstructed peripheral vision. The narrow headband fits well under or over helmets. All IK91 Lenses are 100% UV blocking and impact resistant. These goggles come with their own microfiber carrying case.”
